biography

She was born in Bologna on 11 April 1967. She studied at the Liceo Artistico there, where she got a diploma in 1985. Then she graduated in Advertising Graphics in 1987. Her first works were carried out in the context of the Ottorino Nonfarmale school of restoration, particularly in monumental restoration in Venice. Back in Bologna, she collaborated with fashion stylists and later with advertising agencies. All these experiences improved the artist's creative ability, who dedicated herself to oil painting on canvas and other basic supports. In the meantime, she began her first exhibitions and participation in competitions: this led her to her first personal exhibition which took place in January 2000 and which received considerable appreciation.

STYLE

After an initial period characterized by hyperrealism, executed with oil paints on canvas and through lead and brushes, she switched to a period of research, still ongoing, in which she dedicated herself to directly preparing the raw jute canvas treated with scagliola, first nailed on wooden planks and now fixing it on the "gallery frame". Having thus obtained a surface similar to a plastered wall, she carries out the lead drawing, giving prominence to the chiaroscuro effect and spreading a mixture of very diluted pigments. Then she switched to painting with oil colors. Currently she is also dedicating herself to sculpture, in particular to bronze "lost wax" for the creation of lamps with the glass designed by herself. She teaches painting at her studio and at the Anzolese Cultural Center (Anzola Emilia-Bologna). Her studio is in Bologna, street Ghirardini n° 19a
